Since prehistoric times, fish have been an abundant source of food, both for mankind and for many of the other living creatures who share our planet.

As recently as the early part of the last century fish were still plentiful in the world's seas and oceans yet only fifty years later, just as science was discovering the health secrets of omega-3 fish oils, environmentalists were reporting a dramatic depletion of fish stocks.

As a result of its purchasing policy, which is rigorously monitored and enforced, Seven Seas is pleased to be able to assure customers that its cod liver oils and fish oils are taken only from sound, healthy fish caught in the clean, icy waters of the Arctic conservation fishing grounds where cod stocks are protected and sustainable. As a result, stocks are not endangered and their future is assured.
